About
Colors of the East celebrates the vast and hidden beauty of Asia's most remote places by partnering with local artists and communities. Through our partnerships, we bring East to West and make each evenly accessible to another.
This month, we celebrate Myanmar. All of our pieces are individually selected and inspected on scene. A variety of artists are chosen for their different styles and media. Owing to the humidity and constant rain in Myanmar, the most popular medium is Acrylic on canvas, and this is reflected in our collection. There are some pieces that also involve ink, and one exhibition piece, which is oil on canvas, by Shwe Ni Tun.
We ship our collection pieces with certification in triplicate: we send a certificate of guarantee with the piece you purchase, we send one to the artist for approval, and keep one of our own on file. This way, there can be no doubt as to the authenticity of your art.
As always, keep an eye out for new pieces, new artists, and new regions. If there is a particular piece you like and want to discuss it in greater detail, please do not hesitate to write. Because we are an international collector, we hope you'll understand if there is any delay in response. We and the artists of Myanmar thank you for visiting our Gallery!
